GETTING STARTED
We begin with a no cost consultation, usually about an hour in our showroom. During this appointment, we can discuss the type of cabinetry and finish you want. If you have dimensions or drawings for your project we can discuss budget. After assessing the scope of your project, the designer can give you a very general “ball park” figure for the costs of product, design service, and labor. If you choose to work with us we proceed to the Design Phase. A Design Retainer, based on the complexity of your project, will be collected. In the event you choose to purchase your cabinetry through Complete Cabinetry and Design, the design retainer is applied to the purchase price.
DESIGN PHASE
The design phase has three components: Consultation, Design, and Project Specification. The consultation time is spent with you at the showroom and/or the job site. We will discuss your likes and dislikes, and your wants and needs. After consultation, the designer goes to the drawing board for design and product styling. This may occur several times before final designs are approved by the client. In the event that the time used should exceed the amount specified in the Design Retainer, each additional hour will be billed at the hourly rate. You will be notified when additional time is required.
CHANGE ORDERS
During construction and installation, more product sometimes needs to be ordered, or dimensions change because of structural considerations. New product that needs to be ordered becomes a “change order agreement” and payment terms are listed below.
RETURNED PRODUCT
Special Order or Custom product sales are final. Special order products, such as cabinetry, cannot be returned or exchanged by the manufacturer. Products that are returnable will be issued a credit of the purchase price less a 25% restocking fee. All returns must be made within 30 days of product delivery.
CONTRACTING
We do not provide construction services; however, we do have qualified, licensed and bonded contractors that we can refer to you. We will also work with your contractor.
PAYMENT TERMS
The Design Retainer is paid in full in advance and you will be billed for any additional hours needed. Most product purchases require a contract. Contracts exceeding $5000 will require a 75% deposit. The balance is due in full upon product delivery to the showroom or the jobsite. Contracts less than $5000 are required to be paid in full in advance. The same payment policy is followed for Change Order Contracts.
